Vehicle Description

This is a FRESH build on a original California car. Every panel has been taken down to bare steel and coated with epoxy inside and out. The interior floors and roof where coated with Als liner , to seal and insulate. Then they where covered with insulation. The engine is a 1970 four bolt main 350 with a SCAT crank making it a 383. It has a mild roller rocker cam and 8.5 to 1 compression (so it can run todays fuel). the engine has a elderbrock manifold and carb, weind timing chain cover, protronics distributor, Heddman coated headers, and Bills brackets, with billet pulleys,ARP bolts. the trans is a built 700 R The rear end is a Ford 9' with 370 gears. The rear springs have been relocated in to allow more tire clearance .In building this car I was going for a late 60s mild custom look. So I shaved the hood bird and emblem and brought the hood peak over the front of the hood, also shaved the emblems and lock off of the deck lid, filled the seams on the front fenders to the splash pans, deleted the fuel door ( which cleaned up the hole side of the car) the Left tailamp now has a power activated opener to allow fueling. For comfort and just to be cool the car now has remote power door locks, trunk lock , and windows. The front suspension has 2" drop spindles, with power disc brakes, The steering has been updated to a 605 power box, steered through a chrome tilt column. In keeping with the 60s vibe we rebuilt the original guages, updating the water temp to a 56 electric unit. The interior has been covered in a bone colored cloth and leatherette to compliment the exterior colors and provide a comfortible ride. there is vintage air heat and air unit installed , there is a nice stereo with 4 speakers. The steering wheel is a down sized 59 impala type. The exterior was painted with Glasurit Red and wymbelton white. I have been building custom cars for over 40 years, in that span I have learned some things that work. This car has the look and the right components for a nice ride.
