Coolest truck ever made!!!
1937 Hudson Terraplane "Big Boy" pickup.
People go through their whole lives without seeing one in person.
Professionally restored with modern running gear.
Chevy 283 engine, with automatic GM Turbo hydromatic 400 transmission, with Lokar shifter.
New brake system.
New dual exhaust.
All new wiring.
Front headlights Tri Bar,with turn signal in it. Rear lights are modern, but based on 1939 Lincoln Zephyr.
Gauge cluster is from 1936 Hudson Terraplane, cleaned and converted to 12 volt.
New bucket seats.
New headliner, door panels, floor carpet.
Bed and cab have Alowood, which is pine with dye impregnanted into it. The wood is covered with automotive clear.
When I got the truck, the bed had been already cut a foot and the tailgate was from some other vehicle. So, we used a little creative license with the rear section, and the semi-round steel piece on the back of the bed is meant to look like the headboard on a bed. People seem to really like it.
Mileage on vehicle is unknown. I added the gauge cluster that had 82,200 miles on it,and I have driven it less than 100 miles since putting it in. All work described above was done in 2009.
